Sometimes, a patron will login and see the wrong library listed as their home library or will have all their requests go to the wrong pickup location.

If this is happening, the patron most likely selected a library other than their home library when they logged in for the first time. 

Patron accounts are created automatically when they first log into ComCat and whichever library they select will be established as their "home library."


To change the library associated with your patron's ComCat account:


  1. Submit a ticket to the helpdesk and ask us to delete their current account.
    1. To be ready for deletion, a patron's ComCat account must have no active requests associated with it.
  2. After we have deleted their old account, have the patron log in making sure that they choose the correct library. Whichever library they choose will become their "home library."
